Peace Dollars
1935-S $1 MS66+ PCGS. CAC. Four rays below ONE. The 1935-S marks the end of the Peace dollar series. A mintage of more than 1.9 million coins was produced, and survivors of this issue are plentiful as fine as MS65 and are only marginally elusive in MS66. However, Superb Gems are rare with only a handful known, leading many collectors to seek out high-end Premium Gems as a high-quality alternative. For many Registry collectors, this CAC-endorsed MS66+ coin is an ideal example. Frosty, vibrant mint luster adorns the pristine fields and well-defined design elements. Light russet toning in the margins lightens to champagne-gold at the centers, producing excellent eye appeal and warmth. Only a few faint grazes are seen beneath a loupe. Population: 60 in 66+, 4 finer. CAC: 79 in 66, 0 finer (2/24).
