Morgan Dollars
1891 $1 MS66 PCGS. The 1891 is a conditionally challenging Philadelphia issue, rarely offered above MS65. We have handled a Premium Gem example on only 11 prior occasions, and have never seen a finer piece. The current coin represents the highest numeric grade typically accessible, with just a single coin reported finer, at PCGS (2/24). Original toning graces the frosty, radiant luster, yielding olive, gold, sea-green, and lilac hues. A partial print in the obverse toning ensures the originality of the patina, which adds to the appeal of this coin. The coin is well struck and well preserved. Population: 11 in 66, 1 finer (2/24).
